The Sangiovese is an Italian varietal and is a well-structured wine. It is rich and has a fruit forward profile with aromas of cherries, raspberries and mulberries that incorporate well with hints of meaty, gamey and earthy aromas. This wine also shows savoury characters and displays secondary notes such as cedar, spice and milk chocolate. It has a fleshy ripe palate with an intense depth of flavour that has ample fine-grained tannins and opens up with aeration to become smooth and concentrated with a long lush finish.
