The Sangiovese is an Italian varietal and is a medium weight, well structured wine. It is rich and has a fruit forward profile with aromas of cherry and raspberries. This wine shows earthy characters and displays secondary notes such as cedar, spice and milk chocolate. It has a fleshy ripe palate that has ample fine-grained tannins and opens up with aeration to become smooth and concentrated with a long lingering palate.
